Commentary

Hariharānanda Bhāratī’s Sanskrit commentary, translated

With the nectar of the guru's vessel itself he should do, in order, the tarpaṇa of the gurus, three by three, three times. Then, after that, within the eight petals, inside the eight petals, he should worship the eight Nāyikās with scent, flowers and the rest, with their name-mantras beginning with the praṇava and ending in namaḥ, thus: "oṁ maṅgalāyai namaḥ".
