श्रीपात्रस्थापनम्Setting up the śrīpātra

Verse 30

अं सूर्यमण्डलायेति द्वादशान्ते कलात्मने । नमोऽन्तेनाऽर्घ्यपात्रे तु पूजयेत् सूर्यमण्डलम् ॥ ३० ॥

aṁ sūryamaṇḍalāyēti dvādaśāntē kalātmanē | namō’ntēnā’rghyapātrē tu pūjayēt sūryamaṇḍalam || 30 ||

Translation

Saying "aṁ sūryamaṇḍalāya", after "dvādaśa" "kalātmane", ending in namaḥ, he should worship the disc of the sun in the arghya vessel.

Meaning

Commentary

Hariharānanda Bhāratī’s Sanskrit commentary, translated

First saying "aṁ sūryamaṇḍalāya", then after "dvādaśa" saying "kalātmane". Joined, "aṁ sūryamaṇḍalāya dvādaśakalātmane" is formed; with this mantra ending in namaḥ he should worship the disc of the sun in the arghya vessel.
