Commentary

Hariharānanda Bhāratī’s Sanskrit commentary, translated

Having worshipped the excellent yantra so drawn with a handful of flowers and the root mantra, and having sprinkled the materials of the homa with the praṇava, the wise practitioner should worship in the pericarp of the eight-petalled lotus, in its seed-case, the Ādhāra-śakti and the others named before, uttering māyā, the seed hrīṁ: that is, he should worship them with scent, flowers and the rest with the mantra "hrīṁ ādhāraśaktyādibhyo namaḥ". Or he should worship each of the Ādhāra-śakti and the others separately.
