Commentary
Hariharānanda Bhāratī’s Sanskrit commentary, translated
Drawing out the seed that comes after kha, the letter ga, joined with the six long vowels, then saying "gaṇapati" in the dative, he should then say the wife of fire, "svāhā". Joined, the mantra "gāṁ gīṁ gūṁ gaiṁ gauṁ gaḥ gaṇapataye svāhā" is formed. With this very mantra, beginning "eṣa sudhāmiṣānvitānnabaliḥ", he should offer bali to Gaṇeśa on the northern side of the maṇḍala. Likewise in the middle of the maṇḍala he should give, by the rule, the bali to all beings. (Covers verses 58 and 59.)
