Commentary

Hariharānanda Bhāratī’s Sanskrit commentary, translated

He names in one verse, "vāgīśvarīm…", those he should worship on the tip, middle and base of the sword. With name-mantras beginning with the praṇava and ending in namaḥ, thus "oṁ vāgīśvarī-brahmabhyāṁ namaḥ", with scent, flowers and the rest, the best of practitioners should worship on the tip of the sword Vāgīśvarī, Sarasvatī, and Brahmā; then in the middle of the sword Lakṣmī and Nārāyaṇa; then at the base of the sword Umā and Maheśvara.
