श्रीपात्रस्थापनम्Setting up the śrīpātra
Verse 17
श्रीपात्रस्थापनं कुर्यात् स्वीयया गुणशीलया । अभिषिञ्चेत् कारणेन सामान्यार्घ्योदकेन वा ॥ १७ ॥
śrīpātrasthāpanaṁ kuryāt svīyayā guṇaśīlayā | abhiṣiñcēt kāraṇēna sāmānyārghyōdakēna vā || 17 ||
Translation
He should set up the śrīpātra with his own Śakti of good qualities and character, and consecrate her with kāraṇa or with the water of the ordinary arghya.

Meaning
The śrīpātra, "the auspicious vessel", is the chief cup of the worship. Kāraṇa is wine. "His own" means his wife, the commentary says.
Commentary
Hariharānanda Bhāratī’s Sanskrit commentary, translated
Svīyayā: together with his own Śakti. "He should consecrate (abhiṣiñcet)" his own Śakti, is understood. Kāraṇena: with wine.
