Commentary
Hariharānanda Bhāratī’s Sanskrit commentary, translated
He should not make a drinking vessel of more than five tolakas or less than three tolakas. That drinking vessel, made of gold, of silver, or of glass or of coconut shell, the wise and steady practitioner should set on a stand to the right of the vessel of śuddhi, and bringing the mahāprasāda he should serve it into the vessels, himself or by his brothers' sons, in order of seniority. Seniority here is not to be taken from birth but from consecration (abhiṣeka): so it is to be understood. (This explanation covers verses 187 to 189.)
