Commentary
Hariharānanda Bhāratī’s Sanskrit commentary, translated
First saying "ūṁ somamaṇḍalāya", then after "ṣoḍaśa" he should say "kalātmane". Joined, "ūṁ somamaṇḍalāya ṣoḍaśakalātmane" is formed; with this mantra ending in namaḥ the mantrī, the practitioner, should worship the disc of the moon in the water of the arghya vessel, as before in the water of the kalaśa.
