Commentary

Hariharānanda Bhāratī’s Sanskrit commentary, translated

Then in the six corners of the six-cornered maṇḍala he should worship the six limbs, the deities presiding over the six corners, with the mantras "hrāṁ namaḥ, hrīṁ namaḥ, hrūṁ namaḥ, hraiṁ namaḥ, hrauṁ namaḥ, hraḥ namaḥ". With the root mantra itself he should worship the triangle, the deity presiding over the triangle. "Māyām…": first he should say māyā, the seed hrīṁ, then the Ādhāra-śakti with namaḥ at the end. Joined, the mantra "hrīṁ ādhāraśaktaye namaḥ" is formed; with it he should worship the deity of the stand in the maṇḍala.
