Meaning

Vāgbhava is aiṁ. The commentary gives the mantras: aiṁ sapatnīkam (name)-ānandanāthaṁ śrīguruṁ tarpayāmi namaḥ, then the same for the paramaguru, parāparaguru and parameṣṭhiguru: the guru, his guru, and the two above.

Commentary

Hariharānanda Bhāratī’s Sanskrit commentary, translated

With the nectar of the guru's vessel itself he should satisfy the succession of gurus, the company of gurus. To the question "with which mantra and in which place should he satisfy the succession of gurus?" he says "sahasrāre…". In the thousand-petalled lotus, having satisfied his own guru with his wife, he should satisfy the four gurus in the same way as his own guru, each by his own name with vāgbhava, the seed aiṁ, first. Thus: with "aiṁ sapatnīkam amukānandanāthaṁ śrīguruṁ tarpayāmi namaḥ" his own guru (naming him); with "aiṁ sapatnīkaṁ paramaguruṁ tarpayāmi namaḥ" the guru's guru; with "aiṁ sapatnīkaṁ parāparaguruṁ tarpayāmi namaḥ" the next; with "aiṁ sapatnīkaṁ parameṣṭhiguruṁ tarpayāmi namaḥ" the highest guru.
