इति देव्या वचः श्रुत्वा देवदेवो महेश्वरः । उवाच परया प्रीत्या पार्वतीं पार्वतीपतिः ॥ ८ ॥
iti dēvyā vacaḥ śrutvā dēvadēvō mahēśvaraḥ | uvāca parayā prītyā pārvatīṁ pārvatīpatiḥ || 8 ||
Translation
Hearing the Goddess's words, the god of gods, Maheśvara, lord of Pārvatī, spoke to Pārvatī with the greatest love.
