Meaning
A half-verse, and the key to the whole method. What bears fruit is not the quantity of rites but citta-saṃśuddhi, the purification of the mind. The commentary groups verses 88 to 91 as one teaching about Ādyā's mantra. All the outer forms serve this one inner aim: a purified mind, in which knowledge of Brahman can arise.
