Meaning
A second way of using the armour: as a written amulet (guṭikā). It is written on birch bark (bhūrja), the traditional material, with a fragrant ink of sandal, aloe wood (agaru), musk, saffron (kuṅkuma) and red sandal, and worn enclosed in gold. The sentence continues: verse 71 says where it is worn and what it brings.
