Meaning
Further fruits. He gains intelligence (buddhi) and learning (vidyā) "by the mere instruction of the teacher" (guror ādeśa-mātrataḥ): a word from the guru is enough for understanding to arise. The list then joins worldly goods, wealth and fame, with virtues, generosity and compassion. The pairing is significant: the prosperity the hymn brings is meant to be shared, and the one who prospers becomes generous.
