Meaning
The condition of the promise: one must meditate on the Goddess as "the supreme Māyā", the power that makes the world appear, and as "higher than the highest" (parātparā), and read the names with firm devotion (dṛḍha-bhakti). Recitation is joined to contemplation; the names are a way of holding her form in mind.
