Meaning
Four names on the kumārī, the young girl. In Tantric worship a girl before puberty is worshipped as the living form of the Goddess: fed, garlanded and honoured (kumārī-pūjā). Kālī is pleased by that worship, is the refuge of those who perform it, rejoices when a kumārī is fed, and herself bears the form of the kumārī. The verse states the meaning of the rite: in the girl, the Goddess herself is present.
