Meaning

The kāraṇa names continue: she who is fond of the japa done in the bliss of kāraṇa; gladdened by worship with kāraṇa; immersed in the ocean of kāraṇa; and keeper of the vow of kāraṇa. "Ocean of kāraṇa" can also be read philosophically: kāraṇa is "cause", and the Goddess is sunk in the ocean of the first cause, the source of the world. The Kaula texts deliberately let the ritual word and the metaphysical word sound together. What the Tantra prescribes here is its own teaching, given as the text presents it; taking up any practice is a matter for one's tradition and teacher.
