Meaning
"Yoga-kṣema", the commentary explains, is a pair: yoga is gaining what one does not have, kṣema keeping what one has. The householder is rightly concerned with both. Restraint in speech and laughter is asked always, and especially before elders and the honoured.

Commentary
Hariharānanda Bhāratī’s Sanskrit commentary, translated
Yoga-kṣema-rataḥ: yoga is gaining what one does not have, kṣema is protecting what one has; devoted to both.
