Meaning

One of the best-known verses of the Tantra. Within the circle, every participant, of whatever class, is a "dvijottama", the best of the twice-born, a brāhmaṇa; when it ends, the ordinary distinctions return. The suspension of caste is ritual, not social: it holds inside the consecrated space and time of the rite.
