Translation

The vīra who serves Śakti without marriage incurs the sin of those who go to other men's wives: of this there is no doubt.

Meaning

The commentary glosses "pariṇaya" as marriage. A "vīra", a hero, the practitioner of the Kaula rite, who takes part in "śakti-sevā", the rite with a woman partner, without having married her by the Śaiva rite, commits adultery. The Tantra does not let the circle become a place of license: union outside marriage is sin there as elsewhere (compare verse 40).

Commentary

Hariharānanda Bhāratī’s Sanskrit commentary, translated

Pariṇayam: marriage. (This explanation covers verses 178 and 179.)
