शूद्रकर्त्तव्यानिThe duties of the śūdra

Verse 145

अपमानं गृहच्छिद्रं गुप्त्यर्थं कथितञ्च यत् । भर्त्तुर्ग्लानिकरं यच्च गोपयेदतियत्नतः ॥ १४५ ॥

apamānaṁ gṛhacchidraṁ guptyarthaṁ kathitañca yat | bhartturglānikaraṁ yacca gōpayēdatiyatnataḥ || 145 ||

Translation

An insult, a weakness in the house, what was told him to be kept secret, and whatever would bring his master into disrepute, he should keep hidden with great care.
