श्रुतिस्मृतिपुराणादौ मयैवोक्तं पुरा शिवे । आगमोक्तविधानेन कलौ देवान् यजेत् सुधीः ॥ ८ ॥
śrutismṛtipurāṇādau mayaivōktaṁ purā śivē | āgamōktavidhānēna kalau dēvān yajēt sudhīḥ || 8 ||
Translation
I myself said long ago, O Śivā, in the Śruti, the Smṛti, the Purāṇas and the rest: in the Kali age the wise should worship the gods by the method the Āgama teaches.

Meaning
The wise (sudhī) is glossed as the discerning. Śiva presents the Āgama for this age as foretold by his own earlier scriptures.
