Chapter 5 · Pañcamo’dhyāyaḥ (Fifth Chapter)
Verse 82
या साम्प्रतं चोद्धतदैत्यतापितै- रस्माभिरीशा च सुरैर्नमस्यते। या च स्मृता तत्क्षणमेव हन्ति नः सर्वापदो भक्तिविनम्रमूर्तिभिः ॥ ८२ ॥
yā sāmprataṁ cōddhatadaityatāpitai- rasmābhirīśā ca surairnamasyatē | yā ca smṛtā tatkṣaṇamēva hanti naḥ sarvāpadō bhaktivinamramūrtibhiḥ || 82 ||
Translation
She who is worshipped by us gods, afflicted at present by the arrogant demons, and who, when remembered, immediately destroys all our calamities for those whose forms are bowed with devotion, salutations to that Supreme Goddess.

Meaning
The gods acknowledge their current distress caused by the demons’ arrogance and affirm their worship of the Goddess. They express faith in her promise (from the Fourth Chapter) that remembering her with devotion will instantly dispel all calamities, emphasizing her protective power.
