Meaning
This verse marks a narrative transition, indicating that the sage (Medhas) is resuming the storytelling, moving from the dialogue of Chanda and Munda to Shumbha’s response and actions. Persuaded by Chanda and Munda’s descriptions, Shumbha acts by sending his messenger, Sugriva, a great demon, to approach Ambika, initiating diplomatic contact to woo her, unaware of her divine power.
