Verse 121

तदागच्छतु शुम्भोऽत्र निशुम्भो वा महासुरः। मां जित्वा किं चिरेणात्र पाणिं गृह्णतु मे लघु ॥ १२१ ॥

tadāgacchatu śumbhō’tra niśumbhō vā mahāsuraḥ | māṁ jitvā kiṁ cirēṇātra pāṇiṁ gṛhṇatu mē laghu || 121 ||

Translation

Then let Shumbha, or Nishumbha, the great demon, come. Having conquered me, why delay? Let the sinful one take me quickly.

Meaning

Ambika challenges either Shumbha or Nishumbha to face her in battle to prove their worth. She calls them sinful, urging swift action without delay, reinforcing her defiance and setting the stage for conflict.
