Meaning

The same thought with another tree: the clove (lavaṅga), precious and rare, against the fruiting trees found in every wood. The repetition is meant. In Sanskrit praise, saying a thing three times with different images makes it certain. The reader may let the three trees, mango, sandal and clove, stand for three gifts of such a mind: sweetness, fragrance and rarity.
