Meaning

More names: Kratu, Pulastya and Pulaha, three more of Brahmā's sons; Śaraloman; Vātsyāyana; Bharadvāja; and Vālmīki, the narrator of this text, who names himself among those present. It is a quiet signature: the one telling the story was there. The reader may notice the narrator's modesty: his own name comes near the end of the list.
