अवतारत्रयार्चायां स्तोत्रमन्त्रास्तदाश्रयाः। अष्टादशभुजा चैषा पूज्या महिषमर्दिनी ॥ २४ ॥
avatāratrayārcāyāṁ stōtramantrāstadāśrayāḥ | aṣṭādaśabhujā caiṣā pūjyā mahiṣamardinī || 24 ||
Translation
In worshipping the three incarnations, the hymns and mantras that belong to them are to be used. And this eighteen-armed slayer of Mahiṣa is to be worshipped above all,

Meaning
Each form is worshipped with the hymns and mantras of its own part of the Saptaśatī; but Mahiṣamardinī, Mahālakṣmī, is the chief, for the reason the next verse gives.
