Meaning
This is the definition the sarga has been building to. The liberated while living have known Brahman, the one thing to be known; their bodies are carried on by a vāsanā whose power to cause birth has been burnt away. The commentary adds that their actions bear no fruit to be enjoyed later; the karma that made the present body is used up by living it out, and nothing new is stored.
