Meaning

At first glance the world seems as real as the blue of the sky. Under the inquiry this work teaches, its unreality becomes plain, and plain without strain: nothing has to be pulled down, because nothing was there to pull down. The world is not destroyed; it is seen through, as one who understands the sky still sees blue but no longer takes the colour for a thing.
