Meaning
A being may appear in hundreds of creations, or in none, and so Māyā, the power that makes the world appear, has no end (anta-vivarjitā). The commentary: sometimes they are born hundreds of times, sometimes not once in many ages; this Māyā has no end. The word "Māyā" appears here for the first time in this book. It names the whole display of waves, worlds and births that the sarga has described: not a thing that exists, but an endless appearing.
