Meaning

The body goes through the same round of pleasure and pain, gain and loss, again and again, and is never ashamed of the repetition. It is prākṛta, common, vulgar; another commentary, a wretch. A person of any dignity, after the hundredth time the same pleasure disappointed them, would stop. The body never learns. The reader may notice that the repetition of the same wants and the same griefs is itself something to be ashamed of, and something that can end.
