Meaning
An old house has spiders in its corners; the nails are those spiders. Saramā, the divine bitch of the Vedas, here names hunger, as the commentary says, which barks and whines through the inner rooms; and the wind of the breath and of the belly whistles through it. The house is noisy with appetite. The reader may hear the body's own noises, hunger and breath, as the sounds of a house one is only staying in.
