Meaning
A house cluttered with pots and household things, all of them dirty, and its walls eaten by caustic lye. The objects of the senses are the clutter; they are "rich in filth"; and ignorance (ajñāna) is the alkali that eats away the walls. The commentary: tell me, how could such a thing be what I want? The reader may look at the clutter of their own life, the things kept and gathered, and ask what it is all doing to the walls.
