Meaning
Four flowers, each in motion: the ketakī whirling, the kairava (white night-lily) shining, the kunda (jasmine) falling in circles, the kuvalaya (blue lily) tossing. The commentary: here ketakīs, there white lotuses, there much jasmine, there only blue lilies. The variety is part of the gift; this is not one flower repeated but every kind at once. The reader who has walked through a garden in bloom may remember the moment when the eye stops trying to take it all in.
