Verse 48
युयुधुः संयुगे देव्या खड्गैः परशुपट्टिशैः। केचिच्च चिक्षिपुः शक्तीः केचित्पाशांस्तथापरे ॥ ४८ ॥
yuyudhuḥ saṁyugē dēvyā khaḍgaiḥ paraśupaṭṭiśaiḥ | kēcicca cikṣipuḥ śaktīḥ kēcitpāśāṁstathāparē || 48 ||
Translation
'They fought with the Goddess in battle with swords, axes, and battle-axes. Some hurled spears, and others (threw) nooses.'

Meaning
The assault intensifies and diversifies. Some demons engage in direct hand-to-hand combat with bladed weapons (khaḍgaiḥ, paraśu, paṭṭiśaiḥ), while others attack from a distance by hurling spears (śaktīḥ) or try to ensnare her with nooses (pāśāṁs). This shows a coordinated tactical effort to overcome the Goddess.
