Meaning
The Ocean provides a beautiful lotus, her iconic seat, symbolizing spiritual authority and purity rising from the murky waters of worldly existence. Himavān, the king of mountains and father of Pārvatī (another form of the Goddess), provides a mighty lion as her vāhana (vehicle). The lion represents power, courage, and dominion over the animal realm, signifying her mastery over all material forces. The jewels represent the wealth and treasures of the earth.
