Meaning

The Goddess, as Kundalini, showers the universe with nectar from her feet, symbolizing creation and sustenance through the rasāmnāya (tantric tradition). After this, she returns to the mūlādhāra chakra, coiling like a serpent in the kula-kuṇḍa (Kundalini’s resting place), in a state of rest. Addressed as kuhariṇi (cave-dweller), she resides in the yogic body’s subtle realm. In Śrīvidyā, this verse describes the cycle of Kundalini’s ascent and descent, central to tantric meditation, emphasizing her cosmic and microcosmic roles.
