देवि भक्तिरसभावितवृत्ते प्रीयतां यदि कुतोऽपि लभ्यते। तत्र लौल्यमपि सत्फलमेकं जन्मकोटिभिरपीह न लभ्यम् ॥ १८ ॥
dēvi bhaktirasabhāvitavṛttē prīyatāṁ yadi kutō’pi labhyatē | tatra laulyamapi satphalamēkaṁ janmakōṭibhirapīha na labhyam || 18 ||
Translation
O Goddess, be pleased if anywhere in this some trace is found of a heart steeped in devotion. For longing for you is the one true fruit of life, not to be gained here even in millions of births.

Tradition explains: if any trace of devotion is found in this hymn, be pleased with that. The longing of the heart for her devotion is the only real fruit of life, and without her grace it is not gained even in millions of births.
