Meaning

The earth is held still by its own heaviness. Time is held still by its own existence, in which all worlds have dissolved, another commentary says. The verse turns the restless destroyer into something immovable. the commentaries both say: by dissolving everything into itself, it reaches a firm standing. The reader is brought to the paradox at the heart of Time: endless change on an unmoving ground.
