Meaning
After so much darkness, a cry of wonder. "Ah, a great wonder!" (aho bata mahac citram): there are those who cut it. The great-minded (mahādhiyaḥ) cut through craving, which seemed uncuttable, with viveka, discrimination, the power to tell the real from the passing, used as a spotless sword. Another commentary: the wise sever even this hard craving with the pure blade of discrimination. The reader is reminded that what has been described is not invincible. It has been cut, and the sword is named.
