आराध्यं यन्मया देव्याः स्वरूपं येन च द्विज। विधिना ब्रूहि सकलं यथावत्प्रणतस्य मे ॥ २ ॥
ārādhyaṁ yanmayā dēvyāḥ svarūpaṁ yēna ca dvija | vidhinā brūhi sakalaṁ yathāvatpraṇatasya mē || 2 ||
Translation
O twice-born, tell me, who bow before you, fully and as it truly is, the form of the Goddess that I am to worship and the rite by which I should worship it.

Meaning
The king asks two things: which form of the Goddess to worship, and how. The first is answered in this Rahasya, the second in the Mūrti and Vaikṛtika Rahasyas that follow.
