Verse 7

ततः स्वपुरमायातो निजदेशाधिपोऽभवत्। आक्रान्तः स महाभागस्तैस्तदा प्रबलारिभिः ॥ ७ ॥

tataḥ svapuramāyātō nijadēśādhipō’bhavat | ākrāntaḥ sa mahābhāgastaistadā prabalāribhiḥ || 7 ||

Translation

Then, he returned to his own city and became the lord of his own country again. But then, O illustrious one, he was invaded by those powerful enemies.

Meaning

King Suratha's troubles compound. He manages to return to his capital, but his respite is short-lived. His powerful enemies pursue him and lay siege to his very own capital city, pushing him from a national defeat into a personal crisis.
