Meaning
In the depths of the forest, King Suratha finds a beacon of hope and peace. He discovers the hermitage (āśrama) of the renowned sage Medhas. The description of the hermitage is significant: it is peaceful (praśānta), harmoniously shared with wild animals, and vibrant with spiritual disciples. This serene environment stands in stark contrast to the king's recent life of war, betrayal, and loss, marking the beginning of his spiritual quest.
