Meaning
Vishnu, the embodiment of supreme intelligence, instantly finds the perfect solution. His thighs are not the 'earth' (urvī), yet they are above the water, thus not 'submerged' (pariplutā). He accepts their condition with 'tathā astu' (so be it), places the demons on his lap, and uses his divine discus, Sudarśana, to behead them. This act demonstrates that divine wisdom always outwits arrogant evil.
