Meaning
The Upaniṣad now gives the Navārṇa mantra, the nine-syllable mantra of the Saptaśatī, in code. Speech is aiṁ, Māyā is hrīṁ and the begetter of Brahmā is klīṁ; then come cā, muṁ, ḍā and yai, and finally vicce: “aiṁ hrīṁ klīṁ cāmuṇḍāyai vicce”. The book sets out this mantra openly in the Navārṇa Vidhi that follows, the next step of the recitation.
