Meaning
Kāndigbhūta: "which direction?", not knowing where to go. The care for a household, the commentary says, brings the thought "where shall I find money?" and the mind is blinded with greed and lost, like a deer that has lost its herd. The verse follows desire into its consequence: the anxious householder's mind. The reader may see in it the chain from love to responsibility to anxiety.
