Meaning
The storm continues. The dust of youth is full of sweepings, the restless senses and their objects; it climbs high into the sky, the commentary says, the highest pitch of faults; and it turns the face pale, as dust does, and as dissipation does. The reader may remember faces in youth made pale by excess, and see the dust storm.
