Meaning
Nyāsa means “placing”: the elements of the mantra named in the viniyoga are placed on the body. Saying each phrase, touch with the fingers of the right hand, in turn, the head, the mouth, the heart, the secret part, both feet and the navel. The seers rest on the head, the meters on the mouth that speaks them, and the deities in the heart.
