Chapter 8 · Aṣṭamo’dhyāyaḥ (Eighth Chapter)
Verse 56
भक्ष्यमाणास्त्वया चोग्रा न चोत्पत्स्यन्ति चापरे। इत्युक्त्वा तां ततो देवी शूलेनाभिजघान तम् ॥ ५६ ॥
bhakṣyamāṇāstvayā cōgrā na cōtpatsyanti cāparē | ityuktvā tāṁ tatō dēvī śūlēnābhijaghāna tam || 56 ||
Translation
And others, being devoured by you, fierce one, will not arise. Having said this, the Goddess then struck him with her spear.

Meaning
Caṇḍikā explains that Cāmuṇḍā’s devouring will prevent more demons from arising, and then she strikes Raktabīja with her spear to initiate the plan.
